My birthday started a little early this year with a very fun surprise party at the Melting Pot with the girls from my Bible study. It was a blast and I can't wait for our next girls' night out...(next week!). I really love these girls and would be sad to leave them if I found out we had to ditch our life in Florida. Anywho, I had big plans for my birthday this year...I was going to canoe with manatees (well not WITH manatees...but ABOVE manatees), relax on the beach and eat lunch at a local bakery and the best part is, I was going to do all of these things with Sarah R, BUT thanks to the snow storm in Tulsa, she could not get here...=( I let myself wallow for a few minutes when I heard her flight was canceled and then decided to NOT think about it anymore. On my actual birthday, Anna surprised me (with the help of her bro and sis) with a little impromptu party in the afternoon. She used what we had in the fridge to make me a "birthday feast". She was so proud of herself and it really was one of those mom-moments I'll never forget. We went out that night for dinner and I had most of the day Saturday to just run around and be by MYSELF....while there was no beach or manatees, it was still great!
