jon and joy's kid-friendly kegger

Well there wasn't a keg, but there were plenty of kids and lots of really good food. We had a great time in Siloam seeing old friends and all their kiddos.

The girls made cut-outs of their bodies the other day and decorated them (Anna helped Sophie with her face)...
Sophie drew this the other day on her magna doodle, told me it was a kite and that I needed to take a picture of it...so I did!

Making Raisins

Here are some before and after shots of our raisins. We started with two cookie sheets full and ended with one cookie sheet. It was just too tempting of a snack to pass up everytime we went in the backyard. It took nearly three weeks of sitting in the sun to make them. Had we had the idea in July, it probably would have taken three days.

Here are some pictures of Sophie being Sophie. We went to Shalom Fest a month or so ago and they had a face painting booth. The lady painting the faces took about 20 mintutes per kid creating a masterpiece that was sure to be smeared in a matter on minutes. We stood there for probably an hour...waiting for only four kids to get their faces done. Sophie decided she wanted the alien as soon as she saw her options. No butterfly, flower or ladybug for her. She was set on having that alien...even after the long wait, she didn't waver.
There's another pic of her with a pizza face...we're really not sure how she was able to make such a mess with a piece of pizza....but then again, "mess" is her middle name.
