We had a great time in California visiting Nuf and Finn. Annabelle stayed in Tulsa and had an "awesome possum weekend" with daddy, Nana and Pudge...The weekend came complete with its own awesome possum logo that Nana put on a button and t-shirt. She spent the night with Nana and Pudge one night, went to the air and space museum and went to a movie with daddy.
Sophie did great on the plane ride...after being up for a few minutes, she said she was ready to go down but then she fell asleep for over an hour...she loved flying through the clouds like Peter Pan and Mary Poppins. We had a great visit with Finn and Nuf...I think my favorite day was the one spent on Manhattan beach. We left the camera in the car that day, so unfortunately we don't have any photos. She loved splashing in the waves and playing in the sand with Finn. She was fascinated when the sun went "under the water." The next evening, we drove to Malibu for the sunset. It was a little chilly and getting late so we didn't really swim...Sophie did end up stripped down to her diaper and covered in sand....she loves getting dirty. Finn loved putting the sand directly into his ears...I guess he wanted to save some for later...not that you have to put it in your ears...they had plenty of sand on them when we got home...and had fun taking a bath together.
On the flight back to Tulsa, Sophie was wired! She hadn't gotten much of a nap, but you wouldn't have known it...(we got in at 10:30 Tulsa time). She was jumping up and down on my legs and singing really loud nearly the entire flight (mostly chim-chiminy and jolly holiday)...I think she was so excited to get back to her sister and daddy that she couldn't contain her excitment. Every time I talked to Annabelle on the phone, the first thing she would ask is to talk to Sophie. I knew the reunion would be sweet (you should have seen them reunite in the produce section of Target the other day after Stephen took Anna to the bathroom...). They ran around the airport for a while and we got home and ate cupcakes that Anna had made for us...it was a fun night!
